Club LeConte hosts Women of Wine each month on the first Wednesday. Last week the area suffered terrible thunderstorms, high winds, and even a tornado. For the safety of all concerned, we had to postpone the March Women of Wine event to this week. How appropriate that this made it fall on International Women’s Day!
Spring is the time for Rose wines to come into season, we we focused on those this month. Maryanne from Knoxville Beverage expertly pairs food with the wine selections – this month it was specific cheeses and grapes so the best features of each wine came to the forefront. She leads the group and teaches us interesting and little-known facts about the wines we are tasting each month.
